ClauseTrail is built in Portugal by the team behind Outmano, which watches what a SaaS company's competitors change. The job is the same: read the pages people can't keep re-reading, keep the previous version, and say what changed.
ClauseTrail does that job for the documents behind your vendors: their subprocessor lists, data processing agreements, privacy policies, terms and AI terms. If vendor risk is yours, you are contractually expected to know when a vendor adds a subprocessor or starts sending data to an AI provider, and you usually get a fixed window to object, commonly around 30 days. The notice lands on a page nobody watches, or in an email to whoever signed up years ago.
The usual workaround is a page-watcher that flags every changed comma, or a spreadsheet brought up to date before the audit. Neither gives you what an auditor asks for: what changed, when, and what you decided.
So we read each vendor's own documents every day, turn subprocessor lists into rows we can compare, and show policy and contract changes line by line with a plain-English summary. Each change reaches you with the date by which to object, and your team's decision on it becomes your audit trail.
